A classic 'food forest' plant producing an amazing bounty of tart but delicious black berries. Well established bushes can produce up to 10lbs of fruit! Excellent for eating fresh or preserving. Matures quickly in a couple years to 5' tall and wide if soil is rich and with regular watering.
Grows fine in large containers. Fairly low maintenance. Yearly thinning of shoots 4 years old and up is best to keep good airflow and help encourage new growth and further fruit production.Exposure: Full Sun to dappled shade
Water: Moderate - regularly as roots can be shallow
Soil: Most soils with adequate drainage
Hardiness: Zone 3a
Pollination: Self-pollinatingPricing may fluctuate depending on size availability. To order, please contact us with a list of the type, variety and quantity of plants desired. Pre-payments will be required to put plants on hold for you until pick up.
