  • Two varieties available: Standard Black Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) & Bob Gordon Black Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis 'Bob Gordon').  Each cross-pollinate the other.

Black Elderberry is a versatile and hardy shrub that offers both ornamental beauty and practical benefits. Known for its clusters of small, fragrant white flowers in the spring, it later produces deep purple-black berries in the fall. These berries are celebrated for their rich antioxidant content and are commonly used in jams, syrups, and herbal remedies. Black Elderberry thrives in well-drained soil and full to partial sunlight, making it an excellent addition to gardens and landscapes. Its fast growth and attractive foliage provide year-round interest and support local wildlife, including birds and pollinators.
