A low maintenance perennial vegetable, with spinach like growth and edible qualities. A must have in your food forest garden! Leaves are eaten fresh or lightly steamed. Flowering stalks eaten like brocolli. Self seeds in the garden in the right conditions, otherwise difficult to propagate. Once established, easy to grow. Grows to 2.5' tall and 2' wide.
Rabbits and deer tend to avoid this plant. Rarely bothered by pests or disease.Exposure: Full sun to dappled shade - avoid planting in very hot location
